I find a lot of inspiration from nature when I am out walking my dog. I have been passionate about art since I was very young, following the subject through school and art college. I have also always been a great animal lover and used to enjoy sketching my pet dogs. Then a few years ago I painted a portrait of my friend’s dog as a gift. She was so pleased with the painting, and to my surprise a flood of orders followed from other animal lovers. So I decided to start out as a professional artist, and I haven’t looked back since. The process is simple, all you need to do is send me a good clear photo, either by email or post. If you have several pictures that is be better so I can get a real feel for the animal’s character. All hard copy photos will be returned with the final portrait. I work in either pencil on high quality cartridge paper, or acrylic paints on linen textured acrylic paper, panel canvas or box canvas depending on your preference. For non-canvas pieces a mount is included ready to be displayed in a frame. Prices start from £25 for a pencil drawing and £45 for an acrylic painting. Please allow up to 3 weeks for your unique commission to be completed. If your order is more urgent please get in touch and I will see what I can do. Once complete your portrait will be packaged safely and posted by recorded delivery. I am confident that you will love your portrait, but if you are not completely satisfied I can offer a refund. I am a calligrapher at heart. I scribe texts, make cards, albums and books, scribe poems in my books, make scrapbook pages and work to order. My style is modern and colourful, with layers and textures, very touchy, feely. I love papers, ribbons and contrasts - anything and everything to do with paper and ink that keeps me busy! I craft by solely by hand. I use a knife and rule and I cut out most of the shapes I use myself. This does mean that the off knife mark might show hay, proves its real - that is what hand crafting is all about.

I am an Edinburgh based artist, illustrator and designer specialising in painting and drawing, graduation from Edinburgh College of art in June. I create contemporary miniature paintings populated by images that are entirely trivial, and attempt to endow the narratives they create with a sense of significance via obsessive and elaborate work. My narratives tend to stem from an original event or memory from my own life, which I then build extensive mythologies and plots around. Characters throughout my drawing and painting play out a false history, a farcical and insincere history that I attempt to validate via the use of traditional tapestry like formats and the mundane reality of accompanying textbooks. My work uses shapes and structures from conventional ornament, specifically those found in religious contexts, and integrates these into elements of pattern, deifying characters and referencing the metaphysical within a landscape of triviality.

Antony Bridge is emerging as one of the country''s premier English plein air artists based in the gloureous Malvern Hills in the heart of England, his passions for plein air came from a childhood wanting to paint from life in the open air at an early age, having learnt to paint realism using the airbrush Antony went onto larger studio works, studying cloud formations which became popular with collectors across the UK and his other collectors in Africa, Monaco and the US. in 2008 Antony set the challenge to paint outside in the open air each day and managed to paint for over 600 days in all weathers. Inspired by Turner, Seago, hockney, and many of the other past plein air painters, his aim is to increase the size of his work over the next years whilst on location. Using his pochade box, a piece of art equipment he has brought back and started to sell online across the world on pochade.co.uk.
