Frontline Families
Tillicoultry, Aberdeenshire, FK136DT
Frontline Families believes that there has been a breakdown of family and family values over many decades. Many studies show that this has had a long term devastating effect on individuals and the community and manifests itself in many ways – bullying; eating disorders; mental health issues; mindless violence and criminality and the list goes on. All sorts of factors can cause this from family separations and divorce; relocation; family ill-health; drug abuse; poor parenting; poor housing; poverty; death of a family member etc. etc. and the effect on the child can be seen in schools and in families throughout the UK and can remain with someone throughout their childhood into adulthood. We believe a good foundation is essential to build a rounded; confident; caring and ambitious child. The recent riots in London, Birmingham and Manchester show how extreme the results can be. Of course, there are other factors to consider when looking for causes of behaviours such as this, but we believe that getting back to basics in family life will go a long way to promoting better communication and inclusion and a sense of community. We have developed games and strategies to promote interaction and inclusion and are developing our website to direct people to valuable sources of information and practical help. We hope that by travelling round schools; nurseries and other groups, we can promote interaction and inclusion of those who might otherwise be excluded. Through our counsellors and mentors, we offer a free confidential ‘space’ for an individual to explore their feelings.

Beith Community Development Trust
Beith, Ayrshire, KA15 1BY
At BCDT our aim is to improve the mental and physical fitness of the community, through regeneration and enabling of possibilities within Beith. We hope to create local wealth and jobs, by bringing money into the community and keeping it within Beith. Most importantly we are working to enable local growth within the community. Our biggest and most fundamental enabling project to date has been the generation of Beith Astro; a full-size synthetic football pitch. The success of Beith Astro has led to BCDT enabling a number of other community clubs and groups such as the Beith Can Bike club; the West Coast Paddlers; and Unlicensed Events which allows creative arts within the community to flourish. BCDT also enables the Big Swap; a project aimed at recycling, reusing and reducing within Beith through the management of kit swaps, and eco-laundry powered by our very own solar panels. We want to increase Beith’s fitness one person at a time and one way in which we do this is through Social Football, this includes our Pay & Play days, Fun Friday Footy Fives and Summer Camps. We organise a number of community programs; such as Wee Shots, which allows the community the freedom to try new sport activities. A Credit Union community owned bank is also available to provide access to affordable loans and savings. BCDT is also an approved assessment centre offering SQA qualifications through Sports Leader Scotland. We are proud to partner with; Project Scotland, Oxfam Scotland, Zero Waste Scotland, Climate Challenge Fund and North Ayrshire Council.

Keep Your Smile
Disley, Cheshire, SK12 2AA
Keep Your Smile is a charity founded in 2007. It has emerged from an idea, a dream and turned into a reality, born out of the personal experience of just one person. In May 2002, Michelle collapsed with a seizure and was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She underwent surgery to remove the tumour at Hope Hospital. She subsequently recieved radiotherapy & chemotherapy at Christies, as follow up treatment and had regular contact with a Macmillan Nurse. Michelle, not dissimilar to other people whose lives have also been touched by Cancer, felt that just to say thank you after each hospital appointment, was just not enough. This is why Keep Your Smile has been set up to raise as much money as possible. The charitys initial goal is to raise a million pounds. EVERY PENNY raised will be equally divided between Hope Hospital, The Christie and Macmillan. NOT ONE PENNY will be taken for running the charity. -Michelle Wilkinson.

Access Funding Consultancy Services
Colchester, Essex, co5 8le
Access Funding is a new service to help charities ‘Access Funding’ Having worked as a Professional Fundraiser for nearly 7 years, for both large and small charities, and most recently for the local Community Voluntary Service, Wendy Bixby realised that there was a large gap in provision for Voluntary Community Organisations (VCOs) and small-medium sized Charities when it came to getting the support they needed in accessing funding expertise. Wendy said ‘Good local CVS’s accept that they cannot be experts in every field and are choosing to specialise in different areas such as accounts and training, this means that Voluntary Community Groups are missing out on funding opportunities and expert support and advice, so ‘Access Funding Consultancy’ has formed to fill that gap’ Access Funding Consultancy is a new organisation based in Colchester, which offers a free of charge initial consultation to organisations with an income of under 100k per annum. What is completely unique to Access Funding Consultants is that it is currently developing a charitable arm, with the hope that in the future it will open a centre where small charities and VCOs can access free support and advice from expert Fundraising professionals. Wendy said ‘We are based in Colchester, but our aim is to develop a healthy voluntary sector right across Essex. We want to support charities so they can grow and develop their projects and services which will enable them to meet the needs of local communities’ Ann from charity KnifeCrimes.Org has been using the consultancy service and said, ‘Access Funding Consultants caters for all your fundraising needs, they have helped me develop a fundraising strategy and identify suitable funders, which I would have over looked. Wendy is a professional and very knowledgeable about accessing funds, I am very grateful to her for her help and support’ For more information please contact: Wendy Bixby Access Funding Consultancy Supporting Voluntary Sector Development Mobile: 07876440406 E-mail address: accessfunding@btinternet.com Supporting you with all your fundraising needs from developing a fundraising strategy to researching and writing funding applications, we are here to help you sustain existing work and develop new projects.

Woodchester Mansion Trust Ltd
Stroud, Gloucestershire, GL6 8LJ
Woodchester Mansion is an architectural masterpiece of the Victorian age abandoned by its builders before it could be completed. It has been virtually untouched by time since the mid-1870s, and today offers a unique opportunity to tour and explore a Gothic building in mid-assembly. The Mansion is hidden in a secluded 400-acre landscape park of great beauty, sheltering an abundance of wildlife and rare-breed grazing stock. Emma's Dream
Chorley, Lancashire, PR7 4DG
About Us Emma's Dream was founded by Julie O Keefe a mother of three children Claire 28, James 26 and Emma who would have been 23 in(2015). Julie never thought she would lose one of her children and she say's its the worst pain you will ever feel. She misses Emma very much and she's the first person she thinks about when waking in a morning. Now Julie is determined with the help of others to raise awareness and make a difference. She founded Emma's Dream in memory of Emma Kathryn whom sadly she found hanging in her previous home bedroom on the 13th September 2010, Emma was only 19 years young when she took her own life whilst awaiting an assessment for the bi Polar disorder. Our Aim Campaigning to raise mental awareness, offer support and advise to children and young adults with mental health problems. The main fundraising at the moment is to raise funds for our 24hr Crisis Line and for the purchase of a widebeam barge which will give people with mental health issue's a days break or a stress free holiday on the tranquil Leeds to Liverpool. The barge will have to be dramatically redesigned as to meet peoples needs as well as covering all health and safety issues that may arise and have to be dealt with. As you can imagine this is no small task but with the help of you the public, business's and the narrowboat community we are confident we can pursue Emma's Dream.

Wigan Borough Veterans Council
Wigan, Lancashire, wn2 5eg
A veteran is a term that means someone who has served in the UK Armed Forces (whether regular or reserve), but our commitment is inclusive to their widows/widowers and their dependants. It is also inclusive of members of the Merchant Navy who have played a vital role in legally defined military operations as part of the wider veterans'' community. It is estimated that the wide and disparate veterans'' community is a population of 10 million people in the UK. The majority of veterans go on to lead very productive and useful lives after leaving the Armed services. They utilise their transferable skills and knowledge acquired from their time served occupations making an ongoing positive contribution to wider society. However at different stages in our lives we may need that bit of advice or guidance in moving forward. Sometimes others are less fortunate and need support after leaving the Services. This is where the Wigan Borough Veterans Council can assist you. Our role includes providing practical advice and guidance for veterans and their dependants of all ages; backgrounds and military services. We can provide you with signposting to the services that will support you when you need them. We can also be there for veterans and their dependants if they need a shoulder to lean on or a listening ear.

St Bede's Pastoral Centre
York, North Yorkshire, YO24 1AQ
Our aim at St Bede’s is to provide hospitality, welcome and peace to all who come and also to provide a place apart for those who want to explore and deepen their spirituality. The Centre was started by a small community of Benedictines from Ampleforth. When they left, the CJ (Congregation of Jesus, formerly the IBVM) community, whose property it is, took responsibility for the centre, helped initially by the very supportive ‘Friends of St Bede’s’ who did much to ensure it did not close during those transitional months. More recently the energy, enthusiasm and initiative of the two lay Administrators together with the CJ community has done much to ensure that the ecumenical aspect of the centre continues to flourish. The main work of the Centre is to run a regular programme of spirituality. The aim of this is twofold: firstly, to provide talks, workshops and quiet days run by a wide variety of speakers from different denominations and faiths; secondly, to foster Ignatian spirituality through occasional retreats, spiritual direction and courses for all who are interested.  Alongside this we provide rooms for local and national groups to meet to run their own training courses or workshops. There are also smaller rooms for individual use by counsellors and spiritual directors.

CharityKnowHow
Kenley, Surrey, CR8 5NY
Are you hoping to start a charity, which will thrive? Do you want to make your existing charity as effective as possible? CharityKnowHow can help you! CharityKnowHow is run by Nigel Geary-Andrews. Through working at the Charity Commission for over 16 years and lately through CharityKnowHow, Nigel Geary-Andrews is well qualified to provide detailed help, assistance, training and advice to charity trustees and staff helping them to ensure they follow best governance practice, and that they operate within the law. Specifically, CharityKnowHow offers the following: Assistance with establishing a charity, including advising on the most appropriate legal structure, help with drafting a suitable governing document, ensuring the organisation's purposes are charitable according to the law, and ensuring good governance procedures are developed and introduced at the outset. Help with getting charities registered with the Charity Commission if they are legally required to do so. Nigel knows the Commission's procedures and requirements very well, and can represent the trustees in their dealings with the Commission. A full range of advice and assistance to existing charities too. This ranges from verbal advice and formal written advice up to full governance reviews and the drafting of policies. Nigel is also available to provide training to trustees concerning their legal duties. Services concerning ensuring legal compliance. The law relating to charities is wide-ranging and can be complex, and the Charity Commission is increasingly unable to provide detailed, bespoke advice to trustees to guide them. However, failure to follow the law can lead to the Charity Commission exercising its extensive legal powers in relation to a charity, and can lead to trustees being held personally financially liable for any breaches of trust they have committed. Nigel has extensive experience of advising charities about how to comply with the law, and guiding them to providing the information the Charity Commission expects to see.
