Bury St Edmunds Counselling
Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
My name is Emma Taylor and I am a qualified integrative counsellor and CBT counsellor with a counselling and psychotherapy practice based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. I am also a Link Adoption Counsellor. Quite a few years ago now, a life changing event caused me to re-evaluate my future. With the help of my family and friends and a great counsellor, I began to move forward, to understand what makes me who I am and I learnt how to look after myself, that was a particularly steep learning curve. I then went on to train to become a counsellor in Bury St Edmunds and now I am able to provide my clients with what my counsellor did for me: Respect Was non judgemental Respected my confidence Listened and really heard me Guided me but never told me what to do Helped me learn to look after myself emotionally Helped me with coping strategies Helped me acknowledge where my present actions came from I offer one to one counselling to explore any issues you may have confidentially and in a safe and quiet environment. My counselling approach is integrative and at the initial session which is up to 60 minutes long, we will discuss your requirements and what you would hope to achieve from counselling. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes long. Some of the issues covered include bereavement & grief, depression, anger & anxiety, relationship issues and OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) and many more. To see them please feel free to visit my website. My belief is that to be an effective counsellor, you need to be all of the above, but one thing that is so important is that you need to provide the hope that things can get better as they did for me! I have been a Counsellor for around 12 years. I set up my own practice, Bury St Edmunds Counselling and it's a busy practice. I also work for the NHS part-time which I also enjoy. I also gained a BA (Hons) in Integrative Counselling to ensure that I am highly qualified and can offer my clients knowledge as well as experience and a journey which I hope will be life changing. Emma is an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor who offers non judgemental counselling in a quiet and confidential setting. Specialising in treating OCD, Anger, Anxiety, Relationships, Bereavement and Depression. Practice located in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. "My belief is that to be an effective counsellor, you need to be all of the above, but one thing that is so important is that you need to provide the hope that things can get better as they did for me"!

WISE COUNSELLING
Sudbury, Suffolk
WISE COUNSELLING - Eileen Wise MBACP I am a qualified counsellor living in Suffolk between the villages of Clare and Cavendish. I can offer support when the challenges of life become overwhelming; whether it’s bereavement, divorce, too much stress, depression, sadness, or anxiety, there are many ways that counselling can help people through difficult times. Sometimes we just need someone to talk to, someone who is professionally trained to listen and understand. Visiting a counsellor may seem daunting or even a bit scary at first, but by making that all important decision to try and seek help you are already on the way to improving your life and how you feel. “I believe we all have it in us to change our lives and make them better. Sometimes we simply need someone to help us find our way and that is what I try to offer my clients.” There may be many times in our lives when we face problems that we do not feel able to handle on our own. That’s when it helps to talk to someone with professional experience who can listen and help. Your problems might be longstanding or something you have felt recently, but there comes a moment when seeking help is simply the right thing to do. Facing difficulties can be lonely and frightening, and that is why I am here for my clients. I am a friendly, non-judgemental professional counsellor. I will always give you the care and attention you need to enable you to talk about your fears and problems and I can help you find ways to understand and cope with them. About my counselling and what to expect There is no set time for how long therapy lasts – for some it may last a few weeks, while for others it may be months. I prefer it if clients commit to at least six sessions (but you are free to stop at any time). I believe there is no one single approach to counselling. I trained as an integrative counsellor, meaning I have studied several different therapeutic approaches, which help me to find the best way to work with you. We will talk about why you feel what you feel and I will help you to understand why that is and how it affects you. If there are areas in your life which you want to change, I will help you to bring about those changes. I am totally accepting of my clients and allow them to freely express their emotions and feelings – I have empathy and am non-judgemental at all times. Many people feel they are never really listened to and I offer my clients what I call “exquisite listening” – when you are with me I am there for you one hundred percent. Working in this way enables my clients to come to terms with any negative and sad feelings that may be causing their emotional problems. I help my clients to see themselves as individuals with the power and freedom to bring about change for the good. We will explore exactly what it is you need in your life to make it better. I work from my home in a warm, secure and comfortable environment where you will have total privacy. My experience as a counsellor includes: Depression and anxiety Panic attacks and stress Low self-esteem/lack of confidence Feelings of loneliness and isolation Bereavement Relationship issues and family difficulties Young people 16+ years Work related issues WALKING & TALKING THERAPY Some people find talking in an enclosed space difficult or intimidating so I offer clients the option of Walking and Talking Therapy. A stroll through the beautiful countryside can help people relax, open up and talk about their problems. Research carried out by Mind, the mental health charity shows that, for some people, being in the open air and countryside improves psychological and mental wellbeing. Perhaps you have already tried traditional counselling and it has not worked. Then Walking and Talking Therapy might be an alternative. I live in the middle of stunning countryside with a network of footpaths. The walks are gentle, not strenuous, but of course it will depend on the weather. If the weather is bad we will have the session indoors.

Are you finding the challenges of life difficult to cope with? Are you feeling stressed or anxious? Are you struggling with a relationship? Would you like to talk to someone who will really listen to you? Counselling offers an opportunity to explore your thoughts following an event and your consequent emotions and behaviour. Counselling is a collaborative process. I will endeavour to help you find resources within yourself so that we can work through what is troubling you – whether this is something current or in the past. I treat every person as a unique individual with intrinsic worth. Everyone’s life story is important and I tailor the way I work to suit your needs – always sensitively and at your pace. I offer a safe non–judgmental and peaceful space where you can talk to me knowing that I will offer you the highest level of confidentiality. If we agree it is a useful approach I may use hypnotherapy or cognitive behavioural therapy to reinforce the suggestions for change.

Willex Counselling
Lowestoft, Suffolk
Why choose Willex Counselling''s Online or Telephone Counselling Services? There are three distinct advantages to choosing Online or Telephone Counselling as opposed to the traditional ''face to face'' sessions. The first is that it saves you time. You can pre-arrange your Counselling sessions at a time to suit YOU, and you do not have to leave the comfort of your own home or workplace. Second is the cost. Online Counselling costs you ONLY the price of the session, (along with a standard charge telephone call where applicable) no costly trips back and forth to the Counsellors office. Thirdly, it is MUCH easier to open up to a counsellor on the other end of the Telephone or Internet Connection. Telephone or Online Counselling does not suit everybody, but in this growing age of technology more and more people are turning to it to help them deal with the demands of 21st Century life, where the pressure of time makes visiting a Counsellor at their practice more and more difficult. Thank You.
