London-based Capital Models produce models for every stage of development, from planning contours through to highly finished models for marketing. State-of-the-art laser cutting and CNC capabilities enable Capital Models to undertake a broad spectrum of assignments, including architectural components, prototypes for design, props, sets and display stands for photographers, events, shops and exhibitions. Pattern cutting for fashion and millinery, jewellery and art. At Capital Models we have five state of the art laser cutters that enable us to cut and engrave sheets of varying sizes up to 1980mm x 1180mm, in a variety of materials from acrylic, MDF, ply, veneer, paper and card, to fine chiffon and silks (synthetic and natural) and leather. Capital Models have invested in a three axis CNC routing machine with a massive 2440 x 1524mm bed allowing us to cater for jobs of all sizes. Suitable for fireproof materials such as expanded PVC (Foamex) and treated MDF, furniture fabrication from solid wood, Melamine and Formica faced MDF, Corian, Dibond and Polycarbonate to name but a few. Our machine has 2D and 3D capabilities and can cut a impressive range of thickness up to 150mm.
