About Us My name is Russ Lee and I have a lovely wife and daughter. Our family currently extends as far as Martha our ‘strong willed’ Bassett Hound and Magnus our hunter- gatherer rescue cat. Having had domestic pets around me for as long as I can remember and a desire to care, it seemed like the perfect combination when looking for a family business that we could invest heart and soul into. We hold Enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) Disclosures which provide you with the reassurance that you and your pets home are in safe hands. Our specialist insurance policy provides the following cover. •Public Liability up to £2,000.000 •Care Custody and control Liability to animals up to £5,000.00 •Loss of Keys up to £10,000.00 which includes the following. a)Call out charges and expenses arising out of an error in setting or re-setting intruder alarms. b)Call out charges, expenses and the cost of replacement locks or alteration to locking mechanisms following the loss of keys. c)Provision, where necessary, of temporary protection to a customer’s premises following the loss of keys. Note: Our cover also includes minding Horses, Donkeys and domesticated farm animals. Pet Walking Your pet will be transported in our spacious, air-conditioned estate vehicle which is equipped with pet seatbelts for both their safety and their comfort. They will be walked around one of our many When out walking, your pet will receive love and attention and the occasional healthy reward. (with your permission) We encourage good social behaviour between all pets which will allow them a more enjoyable experience, this will also inadvertently enhance your own walks out when other pets are in the same area. Prior to your pets return we will give them a rub and brush down if required. On return to your house (if you are not there) we will ensure there is plenty of fresh drinking water for your pet and will send you a text message with a brief personal walk update. (optional) Whilst out with your pet we always adhere to the Fouling of Land Act 1996 and will dispose of the waste appropriately. What ever the weather, come rain or shine we will be on hand to walk your pet, as we do not operate a fair weather policy! We can accommodate multiple pets of one owner and would offer discounts based on this. We also offer a discount on block bookings – please contact us for further information. The advantage of this service is not only do we look after your pets, but we could look after your favourite indoor plants as well if required. Note: Outdoor plants could also be accommodated by prior arrangement and will incur a small additional charge. We are happy to remove all post from your door to a designated place. We are happy to open/ close curtains to give the appearance of the home being occupied. We will visit your home at varied times throughout the day which adds to the security of your property. After each visit(s) we will send you a brief personal update by text message. (optional) One home visit for a Dog or Cat would include the above plus plenty of love and attention. Outside toilet visits will be cleaned away (not applicable to Cats) which we pick up & remove. We will then clean and refill your pets feeding bowl and replenish their water dish with fresh drinking water, whilst adding a little more TLC along the way. Two visits would include all the above but in the case of your pet being dog, a half hour walk in your local area would be included. If you wish your dog to be walked for a longer period, this could be arranged by prior agreement. Other pets including Rabbits, Guinea Pigs and other small Mammals will also receive love and attention and we will clean and refill their feeding bowl and replenish their water dish with fresh drinking water. We remove droppings from hutches /cages with a full hutch / cage clean out each week. (subject to period of booking) Pet Birds - we will visit your pets and give them some conversation and attention before we clean and refill their feeding dish and replenish their water dish with fresh drinking water.We can also clean and remove droppings from cages. Pet Reptiles, Amphibians and Snakes - we will visit your pet and check on their general well being and feed them as per your instruction, given their varying capacity to survive long periods without food. We would replace their water dish with fresh drinking water and remove any droppings. Please note: the provision of all food, bedding, cat litter etc. for the Home Visiting Service is the responsibility of the owner. Walk The Walk Pet Care do not use their own supplies. PET TRANSPORT This service is tailor made for you and your pet. The vehicle you book will be dedicated to your pet and your pet alone.(no doubling up!) The vehicle is equipped with satellite navigation so you can rest assured your pet (and you should you wish to accompany) will arrive in the right place and more importantly at the right time. Your pet will be transported in a spacious, air conditioned estate vehicle, which is equipped with pet seat belts to the front and rear seats. In addition, a fabric guard is fitted to the rear in accordance with section 57 of the Highway Code. We are pleased to be able to transport Dogs without the need to secure them in a cage, we do however require Cats, Birds and other small mammals to supply their own carrier / cage on collection in the interest of their safety for the duration of the journey. Note: Walk The Walk vehicles are disinfected both before and after transporting all pets.
