Our two self catering apartments, The Byre Cottage and The Dairy Cottage, have been formed by conversion from the old Byre building adjacent to the farmhouse. We are located around 3 miles north of Lochgilphead looking towards Dunadd Hill, the ancient capital of Dalriada and beyond that the Moine Mhor (great moss) National Nature Reserve and the River Add. The Crinan Canal and the sea are minutes away and we are close to the Neolithic Monumeants of Kilmartin Glen. We are centrally located for exploration of the whole of Argyll. The cottages have been renovated in Country Cottage style with homely touches and feature work by Scottish Landscape artists, including local "colourist" John Lowrie Morrison (JOLOMO) Both cottages have electric Central Heating and the accommodation consists of: Living/dining area with comfortable seating, television and DVD player (plus a selection of DVDs), dining table and four dining chairs. The living area is open plan to the kitchen which is fully equipped with ample storage, electric cooker with oven, refrigerator with small freezer compartment, washer/dryer, microwave oven, kettle & toaster plus all crockery, pots and pans etc. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, each with chest of drawers and ample wardrobe space. Each bathroom has wash hand basin, toilet and bath, with an over-bath electric shower. Prices start at £280 per week in low season, rising to £370 per week in high season, including all electricity, linen, towels etc. You will be assured of a warm welcome from the resident proprietors, Jean and Douglas Campbell, who''s family have farmed Achnashelloch since 1943.

The Snug self-catering is a unique, detached holiday cottage just a moments stroll from the beach, and ideally situated for exploring Dunoon, the Cowal peninsula and the beautiful countryside of Argyll. The property was completed in 2004 and comprises a bright, open-plan living space with fitted kitchen and sitting area on the upper floor, from which there are lovely sea views. On the ground floor there is a good-sized double bedroom and bathroom. The Snug is located in Innellan, a small village just 4 miles south of Dunoon, on the Cowal peninsula. Dunoon has been a popular tourist area for over 100 years and is an ideal base for exploring the lochs and hills of Cowal, as well as the many lovely towns and villages of Argyll. Only an hour from Glasgow, yet a world away - The Snug is the perfect getaway, whether youve a fortnight or just a weekend to spare.
