I am a qualified psychotherapist and Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA-P) , a BACP Registered Member (MBACP) abiding to the BACP New Ethical Framework Values, Principles and Moral Qualities, and also adhering to the UKCP Code of Conduct. The type of Relational Psychodynamic Transactional Analysis Counselling and Psychotherapy that I practice integrates humanistic, psychodynamic, relational and cognitive-behavioural approaches. I also use elements of mindfulness meditation, exploration of bodily experiences (important to make sense of experiences which cannot be verbalised), and adopt a contemporary model for the treatment of psychological trauma. Furthermore, I am currently training in Advanced Trauma Treatment Psychotherapy. Safety and confidentiality of the therapeutic process are key concerns of mine. As we work together you can be reassured that I will be with you in a non-judgmental and compassionate way. I work with individuals (16 years old and older), couples and groups, and offer short, medium and long term/open ended treatments. I treat clients with a variety of conditions e.g. anxiety, depression, relationship issues, etc. - see www.presentingpast.co.uk for a detailed list. Sessions are usually held face-to-face. Sessions via video conference are available (only for Individual Counselling/Psychotherapy and if therapeutically appropriate/needed).
