The original art-K has been running in Ashtead for 18 years and we are now expanding into Southville, that friendly area just south of the River Avon. art-K is an art club for children aged 6 - 16 years. We provide a fun, welcoming atmosphere for children to build confidence in their artistic skills. Children can explore and experiment with a variety of mediums such as pastels, watercolours, acrylics, clay, and papier-mâché, to help each individual develop a variety of techniques. We help children grow into amazing young artists guided by unique, age appropriate projects. For GCSE students we can either work alongside their projects or we can start off doing our own projects with them to develop drawing skills as well as acrylics, watercolours, perspective, portraiture and mixed media work. For GCSE, we think it's really important to provide a strong basis for all techniques which they can use to develop their projects and make them stand out. We also cater for adults: those who would like to get back into art and those who have always wanted to try. Our programme is varied and the group decides what they would like to do next. It's a great way to spend some 'me' time and to explore new, fun techniques!
