Want to improve your singing voice? Become better at speaking or singing in public? I can help you - whatever your level! I am a professional singer/songwriter and vocal coach. I have been teaching vocals and music for 7 years, both college and private-based. Having recently decided to leave the college system for a while, to focus on private one-to-one coaching, and am taking on new students. Briefly, my goal when teaching is to bring out what I perceive to be an individuals real voice, never to change it into something else. My approach is to take the mystery and fear out of singing and bring back enjoyment and confidence by giving you professional skills which will improve the way you sing forever! I do this by using techniques based on SLS and Estill methods which help to eliminate bad habits and free up the voice, and other holistic methods. You will learn how to access and control your vocal power, and have fun in the process! I also coach in other areas of music & performance-related skills, including keyboards, music theory and songwriting. Lessons take place in an equipped studio where you can also have a demo made. All modern styles - pop, rock, soul, r&b, jazz, blues and folk. I am based in South-East London. I believe that everyone has an innate, natural musical ability, and am convinced in the power of song to uplift, inspire and heal. Qualifications: Graduate Diploma in Music Teaching to Adults; Practical Psychology for Musicians who are Teaching and Performing; Vocal Anatomy; Diploma in Popular Music Performance (Voice); Piano - Classical grades (up to grade 8 standard) and self-taught pop/rock/blues; Professionalgigging singer/songwriter and keyboard player since 2001. Original/Solo career - Recorded & released an EP on Lucid Confusion Records in 2008, am recording my debut album in May 2009 and have a manager since 2004. Also have experience of session work for other original artists.
