Dalmeny Joinery has been present in the conservation village of Dalmeny on the outskirts of Edinburgh for three generations and is run by Richard and Mhairi Leather. We are available for all types of work Richard is a cabinetmaker who has a Bsc in Furniture Production. He has always known he wanted to make furniture and has spent the past 20 years working for a number of furniture manufacturers learning the trade from the inside out as well as making his own beautiful, tactile and fully functional pieces. Richard manufactures his own designs but can also create something from your ideas. The process of creating a piece of furniture involves working with you to integrate your ideas as well being guided by Richard’s expertise and the wood itself. This makes getting the finished product all the more exciting and the initial process fun for all involved. Wood is tactile and warm and our work is about bringing a little piece of nature into your home. We hope you will enjoy the experience as well as creating an interesting talking point for your home, family and friends small domestic jobs to bespoke items manufactured for you in our own workshops.
