PLAY ON! Performing Arts Class (for under 18's), LOCATION: Barby Village Hall, near Rugby (CV23 8TT) DATES / TIMES: 6.30pm - 8.00pm each Friday during term time. DETAILS: Sessions are fun, dynamic & designed to build confidence and creativity while developing drama & theatre techniques. Activities include audition & rehearsal skills, script work, improvisation, mime & dance. Workshops are led by highly qualified practitioner, Yve Harford-Brown (MA Drama & Theatre, BA Education) & experienced vocal coach, Tim Harford-Brown. The venue offers a full sized stage with lighting rig, to allow students to experience the excitement of starring in full performances for family and friends. Events in term time & school holidays. WHERE? Our Venue is at Rugby High School for Girls, Longrood Rd, Bilton, Rugby CV22 7RE WHEN? Our Summer Term runs from Sat 21st April - Sat 14th July 2012. 10am - 1pm WHAT HAPPENS? The children are in their own age groups. 6-8yrs, 9-12yrs and 13-18yrs. They have an hour of dance, an hour of singing and an hour of acting. Each of these classes are taken by different qualified professional teachers. The lessons are fun and there''s no undue stress attached to them, children can work at their own pace and within their abilities. HOW MUCH? The cost is £17 per Saturday for the first child, and any other children in the family pay half price. We are happy for you to pay weekly for a Saturday while your child tries the lessons out, after that we ask for a terms''commitment. (There are several ways of paying for this.) SHOWS? We are currently performing 1 main show a year. We recently performed at The Sadlers Wells Theatre. Last year we had a sellout show at The Castle in Wellingborough, and 2011 saw us perform at the Royal Albert Hall! All of our children take part in the shows! In 2013 we celebrate 20 yrs of Theatretrain at the 02!!
