TIA Creatives is a new social business , being launched July 2013 to offer workshops to children and young people. Mediation, stress management and bringing calm to young lives, encouraging children and young people to share views, ideas about their view on the world, encouraging kind thoughts about self and about others. The business owner Debra Kurs is an experienced Youth and Community Practitioner, who is also the founder and Director of www.turnitaround.org.uk TIAcreatives will be piloting this summer from the downstairs community room at 2 Blackburne Place, on the corner of Hope Street and Blackburne Place. After the summer Debra and her creative team will be offering after school clubs and hopefully in the spring, working towards breakfast clubs. Debra is well versed in the practice of good youth work, behaviour management , confidence building and creative work with young developing minds. She was Merseyisde Mentor of the Year 2010, and continues to use her skills to enable teenagers to express themselves positively and to be good ambassadors for their families and their city.
