I''m Leon I have been teaching guitar for nearly 8 years now. I am an extremely passionate musician. It has been my life from the moment I was born. Throughout my adult life I have been working in many corners of the musical spectrum from the performance side to the admin side, to the tutoring side and to the recording side. During this journey which has also included my musical education I have picked up skills on the guitar in all genres, from jazz to classical, rock, funk, fusion, blues world and indie to name a few. I also play the drums, piano and bass to a high standard. I have 19 years experience in both classical and contemporary guitar playing and am certified through the Royal School of music and the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. I am offering lessons to students of ages 8 - 80, all abilities and can competently teach styles ranging from classical, blues, rock, funk, jazz, popular... (acoustic and electric) My aim is to be able to supply you tools to approach any style should you be willing to put the work and practice in though. But even if you''re only ambition is to learn a couple of favorite tunes, I can accommodate my lessons to address whatever it is you want out of your playing. I also encourage technique, sight-reading, harmony and theory, fret board skills, aural and transcription, all of which I incorporate into my lessons to give you a greater understanding of what and why you playing something which will help you with your own creative endeavors! I am based in North London/Kentish Town/Camden/Hampstead Heath are and typically give lessons from my home. My typical rates are £25 and hour or £100 advance for 5 lessons (which works out to £20 a lesson) You will need: A Guitar to practise on at home (I have many different ones available for lessons at my studio so just bring yourself), an open mind and a willingness to learn!
